Peter’s faith guided him to St. John’s University. Four years later, it led him to the United Nations, where as an intern for the Mission of the Holy See,

“当你开始服务并做一些帮助他人的事情时, 你积极地实践了天主教的社会教义,” Peter said.

Peter was one of six interns, and one of only two Americans, to work at the Holy See Mission in Manhattan, NY, this past summer. Candidates came from around the world,
Peter, 22, explained.
Peter continued. “It was a neat feeling to be a part of that.”
Because it has observer, and not member, status, Observer bodies still can participate in debate, however,
“The mission works to promote the comprehensive, integrated view of the human person,” Peter explained. “我们不会都成为世界上最富有的人, but a lot of people are living on less than $1.25 a day.
Peter’s days typically began with morning Mass. The three-month internship concluded August 30.
大多数会议都涉及天主教领导人感兴趣的一些问题, he said, including care of the poor, protection of women and children, poverty eradication, and access to health care and education services.
几次面试之后,我收到了推荐信 Jessica L. Harris, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of History, St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Rev. John J. Costello, Pastor of St. Luke’s Church
Harris said.
John’s.
Peter’s journey to St. John’s began when, as a student at Archbishop Molloy High School他参加了一个学院博览会,并会见了学校的代表.
“彼得非常投入服事,这滋养了他的祷告生活,并激发了他的信心,” said Victoria O’Keefe ’13CPS, ’15G, ’19G Residence Ministry Director of the Catholic Scholars Program, Social Justice, and Retreats. John’s.”
However, lessons learned at St. So, too, could be law school.
“当你开始服务并做一些帮助他人的事情时, 你积极地实践了天主教的社会教义,” Peter said.
